Action Toy Man is unlike any place you will ever go in Erie. It's a toy store, a comic shop, and a museum all in one! You have to see it to believe it.
I really great toy/ pop culture store for people of all ages. Plus the owner is very nice and helpful.
Cool if you want to pay above eBay prices and see it in person. God forbid you bring a sealed Gatorade into the store, haha. I'm a well-dressed woman in her thirties and was told to put my drink away(it was in my hand and sealed). My excitement level dropped immediately from 100 to zero which actually made me pretty sad. At least when I piss off customers at my toy store it's for a good reason. I told the woman I would have liked to have stayed longer to shop but I was getting thirsty so I guess I had to leave. She told me she was also sorry that one person had ruined it for everyone. I guess I missed the part where it was actually a third grade class rather than a store.
Inside this small unassuming building is three floors of comics, action figures and nostalgia ready to blow your mind.
Check out the comics in the back room and the board games on the upper floors. Looking for something specific? Ask. They know their stuff.
Thank goodness there are places still like this out there.
Worth seeking out and worth the stop.
Shelves and shelves greet you meticulously arranged with small signs warning to "Look, not touch". Don't let that deter you, everything is for sale and if you have too many toys then sell it to folks like us through the stores consignment program.
Had been going for a while. I am a huge gamer and really enjoyed going here. I will definetly miss this place as i feel i am no longer welcome here, because of an accident (which i feel terrible about)that had occurred while i was there. Best of luck. please support this toy store!!
