If you can't do that why not give the customer the option of the time frame for when they would want their order to be delivered?
I ordered flowers and a box of chocolates a few days in advance. I call them the day they were meant to be delivered at around 4:00 pm to see what was taking so long only to be told they would be delivered by 5:30 pm (their closing time) and the girl tells me the delivery is on the truck and it just "depends on the drivers route" but she assures me they would be delivered by 5:30 pm. Who wants their flowers to be delivered at the end of the day?

If I order something days in advance don't you think I would want the flowers to get to their destination, at the latest, by noon?
