I really love this place, beats the hell out of Tops and Giant Eagle, shop little elsewhere ... fantastic deli, breads and meat dept ... staff super friendly.
I have witnessed several occasions of the Owner(s) degrading and demoralizing their staff and their vendors at their 32nd street location. I'm sure the same at their 8th street location is no different. Not only are these men abusive in nature, but miserable in their lives to treat their staff and vendors in such a manner. Perhaps these men should wake up and realize who runs their business in their absence and treat people with dignity and respect. The same treatment they require for themselves. Scare tactics and abuse treatment in front of customers is not only uncalled for, but disrespectful. The customers bare witness to this, and are the same customers keeping their doors open. Reality check Gentlemen.....clean up your attitude towards people. Erie is a small tight knit community. Bullies will be pointed out. Little man complexes, like yours, should truly be brought to the publics attention!
Meat selection is good. The gentleman in the meat department quickly custom cuts ribeyes. Was told by one employee there was sunblock where the general merchandise up front is. The GM manager hastily said yes its here next to the aloes, pointed to the shelf and walked off. There was no shelf label indicating there had ever been sunblock there. Spent 27 minutes looking through the entire stores general merchandise supply and could not find. Management, if you don't carry a product simply tell me so I don't have to spend time number one, looking for the product and number two, writing this odd review. Otherwise, friendly employees and decent selection, but could not find cold Monster Energy drinks oddly.
I like bellos choice of meat deli counter friendly and helpful, meat cutters not do much.
