Erie needs to be spending more money on marketing our tourism. It's an amazing place to live, work, play & visit! We need to show off our hidden gems a bit more! Are we talking about what kayaking in the lagoons at Presque Isle looks like (and costs)?! How about the fact that you are 20 minutes from great skiing, or that there are like 100+ amazing golf courses?! Erie should be spending 1mil+ annually to tell everyone about our amazing little corner of the world, and VisitErie is the place that needs the funds!
Erie has great restaurants, shopping, attractions and hotels, I'm proud to call it my home. The downtown is going through a revitalization and the whole city is adding more and more cool things each year.

Erie's going thru some problems right now, but i still have a lot of GREAT FEELINGS for this Lake Side City. I'm from Pittsburgh, but my Parents brought my brother & i up there a lot for Family Vacations & long Weekends!! I think the CITY OF ERIE has grown up BIG-TIME!! We Camped at EDINBORO LAKE & CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS!! My wife & i along w/ our kids Camped at the KOA KAMPGROUNDS in McKean Pa!! We fished at PRESQUE ISLE STATE PARK & at DOBBINS LANDING near Hamot Hospital!! If you're looking for a SUPER VACATION DESTINATION, You couldn't be more SATISFIED than a trip to ERIE, PA!! It's worth the gas & time!!
