The staff was welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and modern. The breakfast in the morning was hot, fresh, and plentiful. The hotel is in a great location right off I90 and close to all the shopping amenities of the area. Being attached to Splash Lagoon means your are literally a couple steps away from the indoor water park. This hotel and hotel brand offers great value.
We had a really nice stay! The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was clean and cozy! The only negative thing was that our Kuerig coffee maker was not working.
Holiday Inn Express of Erie was very comfortable and hotel staff were all friendly. Parking was a bit of a bugger at first, being in a shared parking lot as well as being filled with several huge electrical trucks, but we found a decent place to park after circling through a couple rows. Our room was very nice, however they had air conditioning running in 40° weather so we quickly changed that upon check in. We totally loved the fireplace, whirlpool tub and cozy kitchen space. Breakfast was decent as well. We would stay here again!
It is a very nice and cozy hotel, connected to Splash Lagoon which is very convenient especially in winter. The rooms are clean and big. The stuff is friendly and nice. Their breakfast is decent too. Nice play/launch room to hang out with your friends or family. Overall, it was a vey nice stay.
We checked in around 11-11:30 PM. The front desk worker was somewhat rude and assumed because we didn’t have reservations that we only want the standard room, didn’t mention any other options other than that until we had asked. We got the king suite and found out that she had given us a handicapped suite. Things in the room were set up for someone in a wheelchair (short peephole on door, short hook on bathroom door, short shower head, chair in bathroom, visual/hearing impaired button outside of hallway door) We noticed how cold the temperature was (this is in December) and the air conditioning was on at 60 degrees. On top of all of this, there were crumbs in one of the drawers, the elevator felt unsafe (made noise and the doors didn’t close right away), the breakfast wasn’t as great as they claim it is, and the night we arrived, we noticed that the fitness room had puddles of water, uncleaned and ignored. We stayed at the Hampton the night before in Warren, PA. Much nicer and better service, better breakfast, cleaner and a better choice. Don’t let the brand name fool you. I’m sure not all Holiday Inns are like this one, but not the best of experiences at this one. Suggestion to have an updated cleaning staff and method to prevent unsatisfed people.
