Being super close to the lake, having an A/C unit in the room, and having a mini fridge and microwave are about the only things this place has going for it. I was trying to go in with an open mind. Old but quaint. What I got was old and dirty. The pillow cases were stained. No hot water to wash my face. Decided to wear flip flops in the room because there carpet was dirty and stained. Don't think I'll be staying here again.

This is by far the most unkept and nastiest place i have ever stayed at. The staff was unprofessional and rude. I can go on for days about the condition of the property and room and only included a few of the images to give you all an idea of what you are about to pay for and should avoid. The room smelled old and weird, the fridge was rusty inside and made a strange noise when plugged in, the stains were everywhere! The bedding had old blood stains, yes BLOOD stains on them as well as cigarette burns. The mattress was stained with what appeared to be urine and the chair, curtains etc i can not begin to assume what made those stains. We literally slept fully clothes, onto the bed on our travel car blanket. When we bought our concerns to the management we were told that nothing could be done because we booked through an outside source. Please please avoid at all cost!

NOT WORTH $67.00 a night. The sheets were stained, we slept on blankets on top the comforter. The one room we had smelled like animal urine and was just dirty. And you have to pay a $10.00 cash key deposit NOT mentioned on website. The hot water was extremely hot and hard to regulate. They do not give you soap for showering or hand washing.

The hotel even though it says they offer it does not have: breakfast, not until July anyway, and they do not have a kitchen in every room. Does have fridge and microwave, though. ONLY good things are the pool, volleyball court, and the outside of hotel is pretty pleasing. The hotel itself a mess!!

Does not even deserve 1 star.

The staff is friendly and the area was quiet when we were there. Will definitely be keeping it in mind for weekend getaways this Summer and Fall

Classic American (pet friendly) motor lodge! Clean and comfortable rooms, the mattresses were soft for my taste, but still fresh and clean.

Upon arrival at the Lake Erie Lodge, it was immediately evident that the property was not taken care of. Before even entering the room, there were hundreds of cigarette butts outside our door in the mulch, garbage littering the grounds, an abandon car in the lot and an overflowing dumpster. Upon entering our room, we were greeted by hundreds of fruit flies, both flying around and stuck to the walls, ceiling and curtains. The bed sheets were stained and filled with cigarette burns. The one mattress was stained with much worse stains than your average motel mattress, including blood stains and more cigarette burns. The toilet had dried tobacco stuck to the seat and toilet rim. The comforters were stained. The mini fridge was propped up by moldy newspaper and the freezer was filled with mold. A stained and visually dirty chair sat in the corner. The carpet was wet and moldy and shoes were needed on at all times to be in the room. This was just in one of our three rooms. After complaining to first the manager and then the general manager, we received new sheets with more stains and burns on them. The non washed and highly stained comforters remained in the room. The cigarette butts were raked up and sat for a full day day. The cleaning observed for three days consisted of one vacuum, one broom and two spray bottles of cleaner and one rag. The gen manager said we would talk about a refund of some sort before I left. He was either not there, sleeping or socializing with patrons any time I tried to discuss the discount prior to leaving. When speaking to him via phone after 3 days of attempts, he said the owner will not be offering any refund, and there was no one I could speak to about it further. The place was a total dump and unsanitary. The mold, bugs, garbage and stains were not worth over $100+ a night. In addition to the filthy, unsanitary conditions, the customer service to address these concerns has been non existent and nothing is being done about it.
