The GF and I spent two nights here, and scored a corner room to boot. The room itself was clean and spacious, took us a little bit to figure out the shower. The hotel was under going renovations at the time, it showed in the stairwells and the third floor was inaccessible at the time. They also offered free breakfast. Desk service was a little slow. Over all, highly reccomend and will be staying again.
Recent stay room wise was fine, unfortunately while checking out I experienced a surprise of being charged a different rate, as I had extended my stay from the original check-out. Ironically the guest before me was having the same conversation with the front desk agent that I unknowingly was about to have. We both were advised to speak with the manager who was offsite and not available. After reaching out to the manager a couple of days later, the manager rudely informed me she would not adjust any rates, was not knowledgeable of what I had been charged, then began to advise with a raised high vocal that I needed to follow up with my bank because she did not know why I had the charges from her hotel, then stated that I had actually been uncharged, and refused to provide me with the corporate number as requested. In summary, manager was unprofessional, unaware, and I will never stay at this property or any affiliated properties again.
We stayed in a double queen bed room 112. The room was a decent size. We kept the window and blinds shut due to the large pipes outside our window. Bathroom was a great size has a nice shower but had a very loud exhast fan and very noisy toilet. Check in staff was very friendly and answered all my questions.
We got stuck in Erie during a snowstorm and turned in here and it was pretty good. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean and warm.
This should not be an Ascend hotel. Hotel staff was never at the desk- we waited 20 minutes to check in as the front desk attendant had left the hotel and returned by car. The "hot breakfast" was waffles, VERY stale bagels, and coffee. No eggs, fruit, yogurt in sight and sugar and napkins were also missing. In search of some, we discovered a drawer full of mouse eaten jam containers complete with mouse droppings. This hotel is newly renovated and could be very nice but it is extremely poorly run and cared for. I can't recommend it.
